Mission
The Center for Advising provides comprehensive and proactive advising to students. Advisors emphasize academic success strategies, planning, coaching, career and personal discovery, education regarding institutional policies and procedures, and development of interpersonal skills. Using a student-centered approach, advisors promote student success and persistence through meaningful interaction with advisees.
Vision
The Center for Advising will provide a holistic advising experience that supports students as they make a healthy transition to college. Through individualized advising, students will learn to navigate their respective programs of study while developing positive mindsets that promote responsibility, self-discipline, critical thinking, resilience, and determination. In partnership with colleges and campus units, students will learn, grow, and build connections as they develop an academic foundation for collegiate persistence and success.
